It is with great pleasure that I have received the news that the Leonardo Electronic Almanac (LEA) is one of the top twenty art journals in the world in the Google Scholar rankings. It feels a great accomplishment after eight years of hard work to see the publication thrive and to be in the company of highly respected international publications.
This is a moment to thank all of the authors, the artists, the editors and the reviewers who have helped us to reach this milestone.
As we go through a new process of transformation in order to further strengthen the publication I would like to thank three people who, over the years have made an excellent job and volunteered their time and work so that this milestone would be possible.
I would like to thank Ozden Sahin for managing the publication and ensuring that a variety of events would be achieved.
Deniz Cem Onduygu for his design work and for continuing to work as the art director of LEA.
Caglar Cetin the editorial manager who has ensured that our work would reach its natural conclusion with the highest possible standards.
I want to publicly thank these people because in an age in which everything is based on money exchange, their volunteer commitment to LEA and its projects has made it possible to achieve such a high standard.
As LEA will continue to grow, evolve and achieve new milestones, we look forward to continuing with the artists, the authors, editors and reviewers this journey in the documentation of contemporary art.
