ISEA2011 WORKSHOP: Building a Breathalyser

Building a Breathalyser

Workshop Leader: Joachim Pietsch

In this hands-on workshop we will explore sensor-based interactive systems built with the Arduino microprocessor.  We will build a breathalyzer using the MQ-3 Alcohol Sensor. The readings will be taken and visualised in Flash or Processing. Time to break out the Raki!
Bio of the Presenter
Since 1998 Joachim Pietsch has taught Programming, User Interface Design and Multimedia Applications on a Computer Science degree in the Institute of Art Design and Technology, Ireland. More recently he has developed a module in Physical Computing to allow students to go beyond the standard WIMP interfaces and create systems and applications that react to environmental and biometric sensor-data.
