E-SCAPES: Artistic Explorations of Nature and Science Opening

2012 opens up with a renewed flurry of activities for the Leonardo Electronic Almanac with the first catalog of a series that sees a strengthened international collaboration between LEA and Kasa Gallery in Istanbul.

“The desert is a site of remote testing where paraconsistent logics are first considered feasible. Mistakenly construed as the opposite of the ocean, the desert teems with depth–it is also its own mirror.” (Lanfranco Aceti and Vince Dziekan – Interview with Paul Catanese.)

E-SCAPES: Artistic Explorations of Nature and Science opens the 2012 activities of Kasa Gallery. The catalog is a collaboration with the Leonardo Electronic Almanac. It is an exhibition at the intersection of art, science and technology that sees the participation of Jane Prophet an internationally acclaimed artist who embodies the cross-over between art and science.

The exhibition in the physical space of Kasa Gallery follows a previous exhibition on LEA’s Digital Platform (Vince Dziekan, curator; Lanfranco Aceti and Christiane Paul, senior curators).
